What happens today
Paybill money arrives with whatever account number the member remembered to type. Someone then spends evenings matching statements to names, posting by hand and answering “why is my balance wrong?” calls. Dividends at year end mean another week in Excel.

What it is being built to do

- 02Separate deposits, share capital and savings products, each with its own rules.
- 03Dividend and interest-on-deposit calculation run from the ledger, not a copy of it.
- 04Member statements by SMS or PDF on request, without a staff member pulling them.

Which paybill providers work?
Safaricom M-Pesa paybill first, through the official Daraja API. Bank feeds are discussed per SACCO.
