Ananke for Churches

Theme of the day

Giving recorded faithfully, members known by name, the Word reaching those who could not come. Administration that serves the ministry.

Let all things be done decently and in order.

The line-up, as an order of service

Each item is a product. Many churches begin with giving records.

Why this line exists

Church administration in Kenya carries real weight: offerings counted after a long service, pledges remembered for months, members who move between cell groups and towns. Good stewardship means records members can trust. This line is built for that, and for the volunteers who keep it running.

In detail

Tithes, offerings & funds

M-Pesa giving & statements

Giving that is recorded as faithfully as it is given

Every tithe acknowledged. Every fund accounted for.

Members give through M-Pesa with references like “tithe” or “TO”, or none at all. Treasurers sort it after service, and members asking for annual statements wait weeks.

  • Separate accounts for tithe, offering, building fund and missions, on one paybill.
  • Instant SMS acknowledgement to the giver.
  • Annual giving statements on request.
  • Treasurer reports by fund, service and month.
Is giving anonymous?

Members can choose. Anonymous gifts are recorded by fund only.

Cash offerings?

Counted totals are entered after service with two signatories.

People and fellowships

Member & cell-group directory

Know every member by name, and every cell by its leader

The flock, counted with care.

Member registers are paper or a spreadsheet nobody updates. Cell leaders keep their own lists. When a member is ill or moves, the church finds out late.

  • Member profiles with family links, groups and ministries.
  • Cell groups with leaders, meeting days and attendance.
  • Birthdays, anniversaries and follow-up lists for pastoral care.
  • Privacy controls on who sees what.
Who can see member data?

Only roles you approve. Cell leaders see their own group.

Live services & podcast

Sermon streaming site

The sermon reaches the member working the Sunday shift

Preached once, heard all week.

Many churches stream on Facebook or YouTube, but sermons are hard to find afterwards, and members in the diaspora or on shift miss them.

  • A church website with live stream embed and a sermon archive by series and speaker.
  • Audio podcast feed for low-data listening.
  • Event calendar and service times.
  • Give button linked to the giving module.
Do we need new cameras?

No. We work with your current streaming setup.

Will it use a lot of data?

Audio versions are offered for low-data listening.

Campaigns, pledges & fulfilment

Harambee & pledge tracking

Pledges remembered, kindly

From the pledge card to the final brick.

Harambees raise pledges on the day, then fulfilment is tracked in a notebook. Members lose track of their balance, and the committee cannot see progress toward the goal.

  • Campaign page with goal and progress.
  • Pledges recorded per member with gentle SMS reminders.
  • Payments matched by M-Pesa to the right pledge.
  • Committee reports at any time.
Can non-members pledge?

Yes, as guests.

How often are reminders sent?

You decide; the default is monthly and polite.

Messages to the right groups

SMS & WhatsApp announcements

Announcements that reach the people they are for

Youth hear about youth camp. Elders hear about elders’ meeting.

Announcements from the pulpit miss those who were absent, and broadcasting everything to everyone trains people to ignore messages.

  • Send to the whole church, a ministry or a cell group.
  • SMS and WhatsApp, with English and Swahili templates.
  • Scheduled messages for services and events.
  • Delivery reports.
Cost?

SMS is billed at cost per message; WhatsApp per conversation under official pricing.

Opt-out?

Members can opt out of non-essential messages.
