Why an estimate, not a price list
There is no official rate card for creators in Kenya. Fees depend on niche, audience location, content quality, usage rights, exclusivity and how much the creator is in demand. This calculator gives you a transparent, adjustable starting point for negotiation — it does not claim to reflect what the market pays. Set the base rates to match quotes you have actually received.
How the estimate is calculated
Midpoint = (Followers ÷ 1,000) × Base rate × Content multiplier × Engagement adjustment
Engagement adjustment = Engagement rate ÷ 3, limited to 0.5x–2x
Range = Midpoint ± 20%
Content multipliers: single post 1x, video 1.6x, story 0.5x, bundle 2.5x. These are simple assumptions to reflect the extra effort of video and bundles. The engagement adjustment rewards creators whose audiences actually interact, and caps the effect so one viral post does not distort the number.
Worked example (hypothetical numbers)
An Instagram creator with 50,000 followers and a 3% engagement rate quotes for a single post. With a base rate of KES 100 per 1,000 followers: 50 × 100 × 1 × 1 = KES 5,000 midpoint, so a suggested range of KES 4,000–6,000. Change the base rate and the estimate updates instantly.

Frequently asked questions
Are these real Kenyan influencer rates?
No. The base rates are editable assumptions. Replace them with figures from quotes you have received.
Why does engagement rate change the price?
Followers show potential reach; engagement shows whether people pay attention. Adjusting for engagement rewards creators with active audiences.
Should micro-influencers cost less?
Usually per post, yes, but they can deliver strong engagement within a niche. Many campaigns combine several micro creators instead of one large account.
